I recently had the privilege of collaborating with Los Angeles-based musician, Y Thee Asinine, on a series of record cover designs. To enhance the visual experience, each record incorporates a double-sided sleeve, as well as the main front and back design.
Drawing inspiration directly from the artist's childhood memories, we set out to create abstract visual narratives; quick snapshots into a moment of time. The process was a balance of creativity and nostalgia. We meticulously selected images that were meaningful to the artist. The final products feel arbitrary and abstract to the average viewer, however to the artist, they’re packed with significance.
